Barbara Hollenbach Inducted Into College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers
Allentown, PA (August 19, 2013) – Barbara L. Hollenbach, a Member of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., was inducted as a Fellow of The College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers at the Midwinter Seminar and Conference in March. The College honors those attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice in the field of workers’ compensation. Members are nominated for the outstanding traits they have developed in their practice of 20 years or longer, representing claimants or defendants, serving as judges, or acting for the benefit of all in education, overseeing agencies, and developing legislation. They have convinced their peers, the bar, bench and public that they possess the highest professional qualifications and ethical standards, character, integrity, professional expertise, and leadership.
“It is such an honor to have been elected a Fellow of the College and to be recognized among such an outstanding group of professionals,” said Hollenbach.
A resident of Bethlehem, Hollenbach focuses her practice on workers’ compensation, professional liability, products liability, and general litigation. Her civil litigation experience includes representing manufacturers of motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and other products. She also represents a variety of professionals including psychiatrists and veterinarians, as well as clients in will contest actions including allegations of undue influence and lack of mental capacity. Hollenbach was the first woman elected president of the Northampton County Bar Association. She is a past chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Law Section. Since 2011, Hollenbach has served on the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Rules Committee. She has been named one of Pennsylvania’s Super Lawyers for several years, most recently in 2013, by Philadelphia Magazine. Hollenbach has co-authored and co-presented the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Workers’ Compensation Practice & Procedures manual and course since 2000. An active community volunteer, she serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for Historic Bethlehem, Inc., and the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts. She earned her J.D., cum laude, in 1978 and her B.A., with highest distinction, in 1975 from Pennsylvania State University.
