Frederick J. Stellato Re-Elected as President and CEO of the Soccer Association of the Lehigh Valley, Inc.

Allentown, PA (June 8, 2011) – Frederick J. Stellato, a Member of Tallman, Hudders & Sorrentino, the Pennsylvania office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., was recently re-elected as President and CEO of the Soccer Association of the Lehigh Valley, Inc. (SALV). SALV is a non-profit which runs a soccer franchise known as FC Sonic Lehigh Valley, a team playing in the National Premier Soccer League.

“I am honored to serve in this leadership role again with such a great athletic organization. I am proud to help make top level soccer more accessible to residents of the Lehigh Valley,” stated Stellato.

The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is a third tier league in the U.S. soccer system with thirty-six teams across the country. Each NPSL team plays a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 16 regular season games and four regional winners battle for the national championship. The teams are comprised of players who play at the highest levels of soccer available to men. The Sonic, last year’s NPSL Northeast Regional Champions, plan to make another run at the NPSL crown while strengthening relationships with youth soccer clubs and pursuing non-profit goals to support soccer in every corner of the Lehigh Valley.

Stellato is a trial attorney who handles many types of civil and commercial litigation matters. Stellato has tried at least 65 cases to verdict, both jury and non-jury, in the areas of products liability, general liability, and professional liability, as well as commercial disputes. Stellato practiced in Philadelphia for 19 years before returning home to the Lehigh Valley to join the firm. Stellato played soccer for many years and is a state-licensed coach, having trained soccer teams of every age from five to sixteen.

Stellato has made presentations on trial-related topics to numerous institutions including Temple University Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, Temple University Law School, Roxborough Hospital School of Nursing, and CIGNA Property and Casualty Company. He has also done programs for the judges of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel.

Stellato serves on numerous committees for Bethlehem’s ArtsQuest, Inc. and was recently appointed the Vice Chairman of that organization’s Performing Arts Board.

Stellato earned his J.D. from Georgetown University in 1982 and his B.A., cum laude, from Lehigh University in 1979.
