Jeanne Hamburg and Danielle DeFilippis Presenters at FoodBiz NJ Conference

Jeanne Hamburg and Danielle M. DeFilippis, Members of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., will present the breakout session, “Appetite for Branding,” during the FoodBiz NJ conference, sponsored by NJBIZ, on Tuesday, April 24, at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset.

Along with Esther Psarakis, Managing Partner of Foodpreneur, Hamburg and DeFilippis will discuss the business and legal challenges of branding in the food and beverage industry, and protecting restaurant decor.

Hamburg has expertise in all aspects of trademark and copyright law.  In each year since 2009, she has been recognized as a Super Lawyer® for Intellectual Property and Intellectual Property Litigation. Hamburg litigates copyright, trademark, trade dress and unfair competition  cases through trial and, if necessary, appeal. To this end, she has litigated in federal courts across the country acting as national counsel to bring and defend infringement claims for clients and prosecuted and defended numerous opposition and cancellation proceedings and ex parte appeals in the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Hamburg is expert in copyright and trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement. She received her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Wellesley College.

DeFilippis focuses her practice on intellectual property matters and litigation. She appears on behalf of individual and  corporate clients in all phases of litigation  from commencement through trial, and regularly serves as lead counsel in cases before federal and state courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and alternative resolution forums. DeFilippis has represented clients in cases involving trademark and copyright infringement, false advertising, commercial disparagement, business torts, deceptive trade practices, Lanham Act claims, state and federal unfair competition laws, and other business disputes. She has been recognized in the past as a Super Lawyer® Rising Star. DeFilippis received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University.
