Nicholas Pellitta Named President of Hunterdon Prevention Resources Board of Trustees

Nicholas F. Pellitta, a Member of the Bridgewater-based law firm of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has been named President of Hunterdon Prevention Resources (HPR) Board of Trustees. He will serve a two year term.
Hunterdon Prevention Resources is a non-profit organization affiliated with the New Jersey Prevention Network and is funded through New Jersey’s Department of Health and Senior Services, along with grants, donations and fund-raising events. HPR is dedicated to promoting health and wellness and preventing substance abuse and violence in the community.
A resident of Flemington, Pellitta has substantial experience in a variety of legal areas in both federal and state courts. He has also represented colleges and universities for 20 years in areas such as tort claim defense, police litigation, civil rights and student discipline. On the individual level, Pellitta offers assistance to clients in a variety of matters, both in municipal and superior courts. He has been honored by the Rutgers University Department of Public Safety for 20 years of service to the Rutgers Police Department as the Rutgers Assistant Prosecutors, Middlesex County.
Pellitta currently serves as a Vice Chairman of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, and was previously Legal Counsel to the Chamber. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Raritan Valley College Foundation.
Pellitta obtained his J.D. from New York Law School in 1985 and received his B.A. from Rutgers College in 1982.
