Norris McLaughlin to Present EB-5 Financing Program for GLVR

Raymond G. Lahoud a Member of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., and Chair of the firm’s Immigration Law Practice, will present an immigration seminar, “Everything You Wanted to Know About EB-5 Financing, But Were Too Afraid to Ask,” sponsored by the Greater Lehigh Valley REALTORS. The session will be held at GLVR on September 27, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. This seminar is geared towards commercial realtors and brokers with general immigration overview. Lahoud will provide a brief overview of the basics of EB-5 financing and reasons why REALTORS can promote it as an attractive source of financing for real estate developers. He will provide a detailed look at the structure of EB-5 investments and offer insight into how developers can make their project EB-5 eligible from a legal and marketing standpoint. The discussion will raise and address common questions that developers encounter when trying to determine whether EB-5 financing is appropriate, and touch on common myths and realities about the EB-5 program and process. The panel will also discuss the different entities and experts, including REALTORS who are engaged in a typical EB-5 investment, and outline concrete next steps for developers interested in securing EB-5 financing for their residential or commercial real estate venture.
