Allentown, PA (May 20, 2013) – S. Graham Simmons, a Member of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has been selected for inclusion in the Pennsylvania Rising Stars® 2013 Edition. Only two-and-a-half percent of Pennsylvania attorneys are given this honor, which recognizes lawyers aged 40 and under or who have been practicing for fewer than 10 years.
Pennsylvania Rising Stars, a listing of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, is published in the Super Lawyers Magazine and Philadelphia magazine. Pennsylvania Rising Stars are selected through a rigorous process combining peer nominations and evaluations with third-party validation of professional accomplishments. Super Lawyers Magazine, which features the list and profiles of selected attorneys, is distributed to attorneys in the state or region and the ABA-accredited law school libraries. Super Lawyers is also published as a special section in leading city and regional magazines across the country. In the United States, Super Lawyers Magazine is published in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., reaching more than 13 million readers.
Simmons practices primarily in the areas of business law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate and land use, banking and financial services, and health care. He was recognized in Philadelphia Magazine as a Rising Star in the 2008 edition. He was honored in 2011 as one of the Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal’s Top 20 Under 40, which recognized young professionals who exhibit talent and promise and who have a well-documented track record of achievements in business. Simmons serves as Assistant Solicitor to the City of Easton Parking Authority and the Northampton County Gaming Revenue and Economic Redevelopment Authority. Simmons is an active member of College Hill Presbyterian Church and serves as a committee member and youth leader. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Easton Development Partnership and of the Easton Main Street Initiative’s Organization Committee. Simmons earned his J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Villanova University School of Law in 2004 and his B.A. from Roanoke College in 2001.
