Three Tallman Hudders & Sorrentino Attorneys Recognized by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers
Allentown, PA (May 25, 2010) – Tallman Hudders & Sorrentino, the Pennsylvania office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., announced that two of its members have been selected for inclusion on the list of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® 2010. For Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® 2010, Matthew R. Sorrentino has been selected for inclusion in the Health Care section for the fifth consecutive year and Barbara L. Hollenbach has been selected for inclusion in the Worker’s Compensation section for her fourth year. Only five percent of Pennsylvania attorneys are given this honor. F. Peter Lehr has been selected for inclusion in the Health Care section of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® 2010 Rising Stars Edition. He has been selected for this honor for two consecutive years.
Pennsylvania Super Lawyers is a listing of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, and is published in the Philadelphia Magazine and in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine. Pennsylvania Super Lawyers are selected based on a peer-review survey mailed to thousands of attorneys throughout the state serving as both in-house counsel and outside counsel, a blue-ribbon panel review process, and independent research on each candidate. Sorrentino, a resident of Salisbury Township, focuses his practice on health care, general corporate and business, and real estate law. In addition to being a member of the firm’s Management Committee, Matt currently serves as Lehigh County solicitor, managing a staff of 18 full- and part-time staff attorneys for the County. Matt serves as general counsel to Lehigh Valley Health Network, the region’s largest health care provider and employer. He also serves as general counsel to: Health Network Laboratories, a regional clinical laboratory with annual revenue in excess of $100 million; Lehigh Valley Physician Group, a multi-specialty, nonprofit physician practice with in excess of 400 physicians; and Anchor Health Properties, LLC, a national developer of innovative facilities dedicated to health and wellness. Matt earned his J.D. in 1975 from Villanova University and his A.B. from Muhlenberg College in 1966. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Hollenbach, a resident of Bethlehem, focuses her practice on workers’ compensation, professional liability, products liability, and general litigation. Her civil litigation experience includes representing manufacturers of motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and other products. She also represents a variety of professionals including psychiatrists and veterinarians as well as clients in will contest actions including allegations of undue influence and lack of mental capacity. Barbara earned her J.D., cum laude, in 1978 and her B.A., with highest distinction, in 1975 from Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Lehr, a resident of Bethlehem, focuses his practice on health care transactional and regulatory matters, real estate and land use law including zoning and subdivision applications, and commercial lending. Peter has represented and counseled a variety of health care providers, including hospitals, long term care and nursing facilities, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, and more. He has assisted clients in numerous transactions and regulatory issues involving such mandates as the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (“HITECH”) Act, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”), the Stark law and accompanying Phase I-III regulations, the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and attendant safe harbors, and the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (“EMTALA”). He has experience in leading operational assessments of health care providers and drafting corporate compliance programs. He has counseled clients on fraud and abuse avoidance and represented them in third party payer reimbursement cases. Peter earned his J.D. in 1998 from Case Western Reserve University and his B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1995. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
