Michelle L. Scanlon is an Associate in the firm’s Estate Planning and Administration & Wealth Preservation Practice, and Elder Care & Special Needs Law Groups, where she focuses her practice on assisting individuals and families with a range of estate and tax planning.

Michelle represents and advises her clients regarding estate planning, estate administration, trust administration, special needs planning, elder planning, and guardianships. She has experience drafting legal documents including irrevocable trusts, last wills and testaments, powers of attorney, advanced healthcare directives, and special needs trusts. Michelle works strategically with her clients to design and implement plans that meet their personal goals.

Prior to joining Norris McLaughlin, Michelle was an associate at a boutique estate planning law firm. She has also worked as a special education attorney representing families with children with disabilities to help them access education they are entitled to by state and federal law.

Michelle is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree from Quinnipiac University. While attending law school, Michelle worked at the Rutgers Education & Health Law Clinic where she participated in hearings, conducted legal research, and managed cases under attorney supervision.
